21 years in 21 days: Day 13 - 2006

It's not just accomodation businesses that have helped us to raise over £2 million, here are some examples of other great ways to fundraise from 2006.

In 2006 The Fairground pledged to donate 50% of profits from their new Papau New Guinea Fairtrade and organic coffee to Red Squirrel conservation in Cumbria. The coffee was launched at a conservation day at Whinlatter forest. Owners Neil and Sue Ferguson said:"...we can increase Fairtrade income for farmers in Papua New Guinea and also make our won contribution as a company to an invaluable UK conservation project."

Red Squirrels still need our help today, please get in touch if you would like to fundraise in your business.

Another perfect match was made in 2006 when walking holiday company Knobbly Stick invited their customers to make a donation of £5 to local conservation projects - and owner Pete jackson even pldged to match every donation! They raised over £800.
