Tourism and conservation working in partnership.

Autumn days

Autumn is a favourite time of year. The colours on the trees are a wonderful sight, and our fabulous fundraisers tell us how much they have collected for their conservation projects over summer. We find that visitors are more than happy to make a small contribution because they have had such a great time in our beautiful landscape, and love to be able to give something back to keep it this way.

For businesses that don’t already work with us, autumn is a good time to start thinking about fundraising as the busy-ness of the summer slows down.

Lots of businesses are already taking advantage of the quieter months and booking appointments to meet with us. We can help you to set up your fundraising activities quickly and smoothly so that you don’t miss out on that time of year when your guests will be feeling their most generous – Christmas!

And if your New Year’s resolution is to fundraise with a conservation project, improve links with the local community, or generate better content to share with your guests, get a head start by calling us now and be ready to hit the ground running in the New Year.

Once you’ve chosen your beneficiary project, we’ll put together your marketing pack and can even set up a training session for your front of house staff.

Joe Cobb of Lake District Country Hotels says ‘I recently met with Nurture Lakeland and we have been inspired to set up fundraising at Merewood and Briery Wood Hotel. It was so easy to set up, and Nurture Lakeland helped us with everything we need. We can’t wait to see how much we can raise for Fix The Fells and Red Squirrel Conservation, two projects very close to our hearts.’
