Our latest projects...
Penrith & District Red Squirrels
Penrith & District Red Squirrel Group (P&DRSG) is run by local volunteers and the project is a conservation initiative seeking to protect and maintain the existing and widespread red squirrel population. Everyone loves these fluffy, little creatures and visitors love to be able to make a donation through Visitor Giving to help look after these iconic animals.
Culgaith Tarn
The tarn covers and area of 4 acres and is a registered village green. This community-inspired project aims to create a well-managed open space with access for all, increasing biodiversity on the site and providing a fantastic learning resource for local schools. Art and sculpture workshops will engage and educate local children.
