Sarah joined in 2003 after finishing a degree in Tourism, Leisure & Management. Sarah is responsible for finance and the smooth running of the office, as well as keeping our member businesses up to date. |
Ruth joined in 2009 to manage our original Love Your Lakes campaign. With a First Class degree in Outdoor & Environmental Education, Ruth now works with businesses to fund conservation through Visitor Giving. Ruth also supports Event Organisers through our Sustainable Outdoor Challenge Events project.

Helen has experience in the environmental sector from previously working at Groundwork in Manchester. Currently undertaking a Masters in Responsible Tourism Management, Helen project manages the Love Your Lakes campaign and provides support and environmental advice to our members. |
Sophie joined us in 2010, putting a teaching background and a Masters in Environmental Governance to good use producing educational materials for our campaigns. Sophie manages our Sustainable Travel work and provides consultancy support for Nurture Tourism. |

Penny provides a vital role in supporting our fundraising efforts by liasing with our businesses. Having previously worked in a variety of organisations including outdoor, travel and management training companies. Currently working on the Visitor Giving project, producing and distributing fundraising materials. |
Angela is currently our Project Officer for Destination Eden. Angela brings previous experience from working at the RSPB and in a wide variety of environmental education roles. Angela has her hands full producing a suite of trail guides, maps and resources for buisnesses to use to promote low carbon tourism in Eden |
Having just joined us recently in 2013 Sarah will be working on our sustainable travel projects in the Lake District and Eden, she’s looking forward to getting out and about and meeting our members. Sarah previously volunteered with Ruth on the Visitor Giving programme after completing a PhD in Environmental Science at Lancaster University. |
Karen is responsible for all things Nurture Eden, both now and in the future. Karen has worked with the Uni of Cumbria in the enterprise and business relations team and had a long career in environmental related fields, including working for WWF, the National Trust, Cumbria Waste Minimisation Programme, and the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. |
